Young Eagles
Our Story
Our chapter began doing Young Eagles flights over 30 years ago. This year, we were recognized by the EAA in Oshkosh, WI for being one of a few chapters that has actively participated in the Young Eagles program for over 30 years.
The Young Eagles program give the next generation an opportunity to take their first flight in an airplane. They have the opportunity to have one on one time with the pilot, and learn all about the aircraft they are flying in. Our pilots are all volunteers who donate their time and efforts to the chapter to further aviation within our communities.
Our chapter also hosts Young Eagles workshops and teaching days. We encourage our youth members to participate and learn about aviation, and being active in the community. With the support of EAA, Young Eagles flight recipients can take advantage of free ground training as well as many other free options.
Young Eagles flights are always no cost, and are funded by our generous Young Eagles pilots. Please click the link below to sign up and pre-register for an event.
